Versatile collaborative pianist, Eunji extensively performs throughout Europe, in such prominent venues as St Bride’s, St Andrew’s (UK), Petit Palais, Opéra de Lyon, Prieuré de Chirens (France). She has been invited to the festivals such as International Lied Festival Zeist (Netherlands), Festival Culturel International de Musique Symphonique (Algeria), Les Allées Chantent (France), A casa de Aldán (Spain) and Lavaux Classic Off (Switzerland). She is Oxford Lieder and Leeds Lieder Young Artist, official accompanist at Aigues-Vives en Music (France) as Young Artist Fellow, J&R International Music Academy (South Korea and France), and Concours Junoir “Souffle” in La Côte Flûte Festival (Switzerland).

 

Her passion for exploring contemporary music led her to found Ensemble Dimensions where she premiered young composers' works including Alex Nante’s ‘Arcanum’ for two pianos, two percussions sets and dance, Sirah Martínez Alvarez’s ‘Une espèce de bêtise m’a sauté aux yeux’ for saxophone alto and piano, commissioned by the ensemble. The Ensemble held an educational project for children with Anahita Abbasi’s ‘Moving Surfaces III / Another birth’ for piano, tenor saxophone and percussions. She has also performed with Lemanic Modern Ensemble under the baton of Pierre Bleuse. Her motivation for the orchestral piano has driven to perform under the baton of Mikko Franck, William Blank, Ricardo Castro and Alain Jacquon.

 

Eunji studied at Ewha Womans University (S. Korea) receiving a Bachelor of Music in Piano with Soo-Yeon Lim and Yehrim Lee, Conservatoire de Lyon (France) for Piano and Piano Accompaniment with Hervé Billaut and Laetitia Bougnol, Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et Danse de Lyon (France) completing the DNSPM in Piano Accompaniment and Master of Chamber Music with David Selig, Franck Krawczyk, Sergio Menozzi and Dana Ciocarlie, Haute Ecole de Musique de Lausanne (Switzerland) earning Master of Music in Piano Accompaniment with Marc Pantillon, Todd Camburn and Béatrice Richoz, and most recently the Royal Academy of Music (UK) being awarded Advanced Diploma in Piano Accompaniment under the guidance of James Baillieu and Malcolm Martineau. Her studies were generously supported by the RAM, Mécénat Musical Société Générale and ADAMI France.


Eunji has taken opportunities also to have masterclass with Mark Padmore, Christoph Glynn, James Gilchrist, Anna Tilbrook, Amanda Roocroft, Graham Johnson, Helmut Deutsch, Jeff Cohen, Hartmut Höll, John Fiore, Billy Eidi, Anne le Bozec, Laurent Cabasso, Sontraud Speidel, Françoise Thinat and Sharon Boaz.

She has appeared at the Radio Télévision Suisse (Espace 2) for her constant research of french women composers, Lili and Nadia Boulanger. This project led her to exhibit and give concert series dedicated to Lili Boulanger, ‘Sur les pas de Lili’ at the Médiathèque Nadia Boulanger of CNSMD de Lyon. Eunji is the laureate of the Concours Internatioal de la mélodies de Gordes with Soprano Yui Futaeda and Jeunes Talents in Paris with saxophonist Helena Otero Correa.
